Residents of Gaza City's Shujayea neighborhood have fled following intense air raids and ground assaults by Israeli forces, according to Gaza's civil defense. Dr. Muhammad Ghurab from al-Ahli Hospital reported that the facility received seven deceased individuals, including four children, and over 40 wounded as Israeli forces advanced into Shujayea.
Civil defense teams have been pulling bodies from the rubble, continuing their search and rescue operations amidst the destruction. Hamas condemned the assaults, stating they led to numerous casualties and forced thousands of Palestinians to flee due to continuous shelling of civilian areas.

Al Jazeera's Hani Mahmoud, reporting from Deir el-Balah, highlighted that most residents in Shujayea and Tuffa are displaced Palestinians who faced new evacuation orders as Israeli military operations intensified. Mahmoud noted that these repeated displacements have become a routine part of life for many, with some families unable to evacuate due to the heavy presence of surveillance drones and artillery.
