Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State has appointed Dr. Oluwatoyin Taiwo as his Chief of Staff. The announcement was made in a statement issued on Thursday by the governor's Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Mr. Kayode Akinmade, in Abeokuta. The appointment took effect from December 18, with the letter of appointment personally handed over by the governor on Wednesday.
Dr. Taiwo previously served as Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS) to Governor Abiodun and was Commissioner for Culture and Tourism during the governor’s first term. His elevation to Chief of Staff reflects his long-standing commitment and contributions to the administration’s successes.
Governor Abiodun congratulated Taiwo, describing the appointment as well-deserved. He expressed confidence in Taiwo's ability to bring valuable leadership and administrative expertise to the new role.
An alumnus of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Dr. Taiwo holds a B.Sc. in Statistics and advanced degrees, including a Ph.D. His academic and professional background positions him to contribute significantly to the continued progress of Ogun State.
