Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has expressed his condolences to the family of the late Senator Sidi Ali, who passed away on Thursday evening at the age of 86. The governor's condolences were conveyed in a statement issued by his Director-General of Media and Publicity, Malam Sanusi Dawakin Tofa, in Kano on Friday.
Yusuf praised the late Ali as a dedicated public servant who played a crucial role in ensuring the free flow of accurate information during the Nigerian Civil War. He also highlighted the positive contributions of the deceased as a senator during the Second Republic, noting his impact on shaping the Senate and fostering the development of democracy in Nigeria.
On behalf of the government and people of Kano State, Governor Yusuf extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Senator Ali. He prayed for the peaceful repose of his soul, wishing that Aljannah (Paradise) be his final resting place. The governor also prayed for Allah to grant the family the strength and courage to bear the loss.
