Governor Fintiri Appoints Zira as PAWECA Director General, Reconstitutes State Boards

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa has appointed Michael Zira as the Director General of the State Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA). The announcement came through a statement from Fintiri’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, highlighting other key appointments across various state agencies and institutions.

The reconstituted boards include the Adamawa State Mass Education Board, Adamawa State Broadcasting Corporation, and the Adamawa State HIV/AIDS Control Agency. Additional agencies benefiting from new board appointments are the State Specialist Hospital Yola, Agricultural Mechanisation Authority, and the State Arts Council, among others.

Furthermore, boards for the state Sports Council, Water Board, Road Maintenance Agency, and State Television Corporation have been revamped. Other notable mentions include the Scholarship Trust Fund, Urban Planning Development Authority, and the Bureau for Public Procurement.

Governor Fintiri also approved new boards for educational institutions such as the State Polytechnic Yola, College of Education Hong, and the School of Nursing and Midwifery. Emphasizing the importance of their roles, the Governor urged the new appointees to leverage their expertise to enhance the administration’s efforts.
