Gunmen Abduct 15 Farmers in Kaduna Community, Lawmaker Condemns Attack

Fifteen farmers from Ungwan Nungu in Bokana Ward, Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State, have been abducted by gunmen while returning from their farms on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

The incident has thrown the community into fear, with families anxiously awaiting updates on the victims’ whereabouts.

Reacting to the development, the member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Daniel Amos, condemned the attack, describing it as “cruel, senseless and deeply regrettable.”

In a statement on Tuesday, Amos said the abduction highlights the worsening insecurity rural communities continue to face.

“Our people deserve to live without fear. Targeting peaceful, hardworking community members is unacceptable and must not be tolerated under any circumstance,” he said.

He urged residents of Ungwan Nungu and neighbouring communities to remain calm, avoid panic, and cooperate fully with security agencies. The lawmaker also called for a coordinated security response to ensure the safe rescue of the victims.

“I call on the security agencies to leave no stone unturned in the search for the abducted persons. We expect intensified surveillance, intelligence-driven operations and the swift arrest of those responsible,” he stated.
