A professional hairstylist identified as Sebastine Timothy has been killed by suspected armed robbers in the Satellite Town area of Lagos State.
The tragic incident reportedly occurred on Sunday night along Olasanoye Street. According to police sources, Sebastine was attacked shortly after returning home from work.
The robbers allegedly forced him to transfer money from his bank account, stole his belongings, and shot him in the head before fleeing the scene. His lifeless body was later discovered by neighbours who heard gunshots.
In a separate account, a platform known for exposing cult-related activities, Confra Naija, claimed the attack was linked to cult violence. According to their report, the assailants had come to attack Sebastine’s brother, said to be a member of a rival group, but turned on Sebastine when they couldn’t find him.
“They forced him to unlock his phone, transfer money, and then shot him in the head,” the post read.
Friends and neighbours have since taken to social media to mourn him. A Facebook user, Glory Hope, described Sebastine as hardworking and humble, writing, “Very hard-working guy… why did this happen to you? A very good barber, I feel so sad since I heard the news. RIP guy.”
When contacted, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed the incident but said the cause of the head injury could not yet be determined.
