Yesterday, terrorists launched an attack on the Dogon-noma community in Kaduna State, abducting 15 women and one man. Istifanus, a local resident, reported that many villagers fled to neighboring communities for safety as the assailants shot sporadically.
"We can only confirm the figure by evening when we’re able to access the village. The attackers invaded the village at 5.30 am on Saturday in large numbers, shooting indiscriminately," Istifanus stated.
Former council chairman Hon Cafra Caino expressed concern, saying, "We are yet to get the number of casualties because the locals ran for their lives at the time the assailants invaded the community." He added that the community had previously suffered a heavy attack in 2019, resulting in 74 deaths.
As of now, the police command has not issued a statement regarding the incident.
