INTERPOL Declares 14 Nigerians Wanted for Crimes Across Multiple Countries

The International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) has issued Red Notices for 14 Nigerians wanted for a range of serious crimes, including human trafficking, drug trafficking, robbery, sexual assault, and forgery. These individuals are allegedly connected to various criminal activities in different countries, where they are sought by local authorities for prosecution.

The list includes:

  1. Felix Omoregie—wanted by Belgium for leading a criminal organization involved in the exploitation of minors for prostitution.
  2. Jessica Edosomwan—wanted by France for human trafficking, involving multiple victims, and organized crime.
  3. Uche Egbue—wanted by Argentina for drug trafficking.
  4. Jude Uzoma—wanted by Brazil for drug trafficking.
  5. Chinedu Ezeunara—wanted by Uruguay for drug trafficking.
  6. Benedict Okoro—wanted by Nicaragua for organized crime.
  7. Ikechukwu Obidiozor, Akachi Vitus, and Alachi Stanley—wanted by Angola for kidnapping, robbery, and illegal possession of firearms.
  8. Bouhari Salif—wanted by China for drug smuggling.
  9. Timloh Nkem—wanted by Canada for sexual assault and failing to comply with a recognition condition.
  10. Austine Costa—wanted by India for criminal conspiracy, possession of forged documents, and cheating.
  11. Okromi Festus—wanted by India for criminal conspiracy and cheating.
  12. Mary Eze—wanted by Denmark for human trafficking.

INTERPOL emphasized that a red notice serves as a global alert to locate and provisionally arrest an individual pending extradition or legal action, though it is not an international arrest warrant. Public assistance is sought to locate these individuals, and any information can be reported to local authorities.
