Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening security in the state following a courtesy visit by the newly appointed Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa.
In a statement shared on his official X handle on Saturday, the governor described the visit as a welcome development and congratulated General Musa on his appointment. He said Kaduna State would continue to work closely with the Federal Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces to tackle security challenges.
According to Sani, discussions during the visit focused on improving ongoing security operations, enhancing intelligence sharing, and providing better support for security personnel working to maintain peace.
“The security and well-being of Kaduna people remain my top priority,” the governor said, adding that the state would deepen collaboration with federal security agencies to ensure lasting stability.

He also thanked the Defence Minister for acknowledging the role of Kaduna residents in supporting security efforts, noting that citizens have consistently stood by security agencies during difficult times.
Governor Sani expressed confidence that under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership, Nigeria’s defence system would continue to grow stronger, leading to improved peace and development in Kaduna State and across the country.
General Christopher Musa was appointed Minister of Defence by President Tinubu on December 2, 2025, confirmed by the Senate the following day, and assumed office on December 5. He previously served as Chief of Defence Staff from June 2023 to October 2025.
