Kano Governor Thanks Tinubu, APC Governors for ₦8bn Support to Singer Market Fire Victims

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu and governors of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for approving ₦8 billion as support for victims of the Singer Market fire disaster in Kano.

In a statement released on Monday through his spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa, Yusuf described the intervention as a major relief for traders affected by the inferno.

According to the governor, the support includes ₦5 billion from the Federal Government and ₦3 billion contributed by APC governors across the country.

He described the gesture as timely, noting that it would help reduce the burden on victims who lost goods and means of livelihood in the fire.

Yusuf also praised the President for standing with Nigerians during difficult moments and commended the APC governors for showing unity and shared responsibility despite political differences.

The governor assured that the funds would be properly managed and transparently used to rebuild affected shops and provide direct assistance to verified victims.
