Enhanced Security Measures

The Police Commissioner noted that the year began with significant security challenges across Kano’s 44 local government areas, particularly in 17 border LGAs facing threats of banditry, kidnapping, and armed robbery.

To address these, the command implemented an action plan guided by the directives of the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun. The plan emphasized community policing, intelligence-led operations, targeted clearance efforts, and synergy with sister security agencies.

“The Command will continue to intensify community policing, intelligence-driven operations, and public enlightenment campaigns to address the dynamic security needs of the state,” Garba assured.

This comprehensive strategy, he added, has helped to significantly improve security across Kano State, ensuring safety for residents and businesses alike.
