Kogi State Police Commissioner Honors Fallen Heroes with N39 Million Benefit Payout

The Commissioner of Police in Kogi State, Bethrand Onuoha, has distributed cheques totaling N39,042,593.07 to 25 families of deceased policemen in the state. The cheques were handed out on Wednesday as part of the Group Life Assurance and Group Personal Accident Insurance schemes aimed at enhancing the welfare of deceased police officers' families and supporting officers who were accident victims while on duty.

During the cheque presentation, CP Onuoha highlighted the importance of the gesture in recognizing the sacrifices made by the deceased officers and supporting those currently in service. He emphasized the need for diligence among active officers, noting that their efforts are crucial in securing the nation.

"The Nigeria Police Force appreciates the sacrifices made by the deceased officers and those who are accident victims," said CP Onuoha, urging the beneficiaries to use the funds judiciously for the betterment of their families. The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, for the gesture and pledged to utilize the funds wisely for their families' welfare.
