Lagos Announces Night Traffic Diversion at Fadeyi–Ojuelegba for Barrier Installation

The Lagos State Government has announced a temporary night-time traffic diversion at the Fadeyi inward Donmanlong and Donmanlong inward Ojuelegba axis to allow for the installation of truck barriers.

The Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday, noting that the diversion will take effect from 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, to 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, January 11.

According to Osiyemi, motorists approaching Ojuelegba from the Fadeyi Donmanlong Bridge and Ayilara axis are advised to use the service lane through Fadeyi, Jibowu, Empire and Donmanlong to connect Barracks and reach their destinations.

He urged road users to exercise patience around the installation area, explaining that the brief night-time closure is part of a broader traffic management plan aimed at preventing accidents and saving lives.

The commissioner also warned against vandalism or damage to the newly installed truck barriers, stressing the need for public cooperation to ensure the safety measures achieve their intended purpose.
