Lagos State Reaffirms Support for Youth and MSMEs at Trade Fair

Lagos State has reassured Micro, Small, and Medium Entrepreneurs (MSMEs), particularly youth entrepreneurs, of its commitment to enhancing the ease of doing business. This pledge was reiterated by Idris Aregbe, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Tourism, Arts, and Culture, during the opening of the Lagos Tourism/Naija Brand Chick (NBC) Trade Fair in Ikeja.

Aregbe highlighted the administration's strategy to leverage tourism and entertainment to stimulate economic growth through collaboration with the private sector. He projected N5 billion in sales from the three-day fair, emphasizing that the partnership with sponsors represents a significant success for MSMEs in Lagos.

The convener of the NBC Trade Fair, Nelly Agbogu, expressed gratitude for the government's support, noting that traders benefited greatly despite economic challenges. Participants praised the fair for offering goods and services at subsidized prices, boosting their sales.

Iyalaje Oodua, Toyin Kolade, commended the state for fostering a business-friendly environment. She assured traders that President Bola Tinubu's administration would tackle economic issues, emphasizing that despite tough policies, there is optimism for a better Nigeria.
