On Friday, armed men abducted the Managing Director of Fouani Company, the representative of LG and Hisense, along with three Lebanese nationals while they were traveling by boat in Lagos. According to Reports, the incident occurred near Falomo Bridge during their journey from Apapa to Victoria Island.
Although the identities of the victims have not been confirmed, it was reported that the kidnappers have contacted authorities, demanding a ransom of $1.5 million.
A source, who spoke to PUNCH Online on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the case, confirmed the ransom demand. “Yesterday (Friday) evening, the Managing Director of Fouani Company (LG and Hisense) and three Lebanese were kidnapped around Falomo Bridge while traveling from Apapa to Victoria Island by boat. The kidnappers have asked for $1.5 million,” the source stated.

When reached for comment, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed the abduction but withheld further details. "Yes, it is true. We got the report and we are looking into it. Please, I’m not obliged to state more than that," Hundeyin said. He declined to provide information on the names or specific circumstances of the abduction, emphasizing that the case is under investigation.
