Military Operations in Kaduna Neutralize Two Bandits, Recover Weapons

Troops under Operation Whirl Punch and Operation Forest Sanity II have neutralized two bandits during clearance operations in the Rijana area of Kachia Local Government Area (LGA) in Kaduna State. This was disclosed by Samuel Aruwan, the state's Overseeing Commissioner for the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, in a statement on Monday, June 10.

Aruwan reported that the troops advanced through several locations, including Amale, Gidan Jatau, Gidan Danfulani, and Gidan Duna, without encountering resistance. However, as they progressed to Gidan Dutse, they engaged with bandits, resulting in a firefight where two bandits were neutralized while several others escaped with gunshot wounds.

During the operation, the troops recovered three AK-47 rifles, two motorcycles, two AK-47 magazines, 19 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, two mobile phones, and two MP3 players.

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani expressed satisfaction with the report and congratulated the troops for their successful operation. He also praised the leadership of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. General TA Lagbaja, and commended the troops' high morale.
