The Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, expressed optimism about Nigeria's future despite current economic challenges. Alake emphasized that although restructuring comes with challenges, it is necessary for future prosperity.
He highlighted the importance of value addition in mining operations, stating that the government will no longer issue licenses to companies that do not have concrete plans for local value addition. Alake reiterated the administration's commitment to ensuring that mining activities in Nigeria contribute significantly to economic growth and development.
