The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has confirmed its recent airstrikes on bandits in Tungar Kara, Zurmi Local Government Area of Zamfara State, successfully neutralizing several bandits and rescuing kidnap victims. However, the NAF has expressed concern over reports of civilian casualties during the operation.
Air Vice Marshal Olusola Akinboyewa, Director of Public Relations and Information, assured the public that the force values the lives of all Nigerians and has launched a thorough investigation to verify the claims. The findings will be shared to reassure citizens of the NAF’s commitment to accountability.
The NAF reaffirmed its dedication to combating banditry in the North West while prioritizing civilian safety. It pledged to collaborate with relevant authorities to ensure such incidents are prevented, minimized, and appropriately addressed in future operations.
