Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North senatorial district, Delta State, has facilitated the release of four family members arrested by the Army for allegedly fabricating weapons in Onicha-Olona community. The main suspect, known for his ability to build drones and modify AK-47 rifles, caught the senator's attention.
Senator Nwoko expressed his desire for the nation to support and develop the skills of such talented individuals. He plans to introduce a bill to recognize and nurture such talents nationwide. In a statement, he said, "Efforts have been made to ensure fair treatment for those involved, balancing justice with the opportunity for rehabilitation and contribution to society."
The senator disclosed that he had successfully secured the release of four family members implicated in the illegal activity. However, he emphasized that their commitment to upholding the law remains steadfast. He added, "Moreover, the underlying issue highlighted by this discovery remains of paramount importance. We must redirect the talents demonstrated by those involved towards lawful and productive endeavors."
