The newly appointed Ilorin Zonal Director of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Commander CE Anselem Ozioko, has vowed to strengthen the Commission’s fight against corruption across Kwara, Kogi, and Niger States.
Ozioko made the pledge on Friday during a brief handover ceremony at the EFCC Conference Room, GRA, Ilorin, where he officially took over from Mr. Daniel Isei, who has been redeployed to the Enugu Zonal Directorate.
In his remarks, Ozioko praised his predecessor for his achievements and leadership, assuring that he would sustain and improve on the successes already recorded by the Ilorin office in tackling economic and financial crimes in the region.
“I’m grateful to the management of the Commission for the trust placed in me. I look forward to working closely with all staff members to achieve our shared goal of curbing financial crimes in Kwara, Kogi, and Niger States. Together, we’ll take the Ilorin Zone to greater heights,” he said.
He also emphasized that professionalism, teamwork, and integrity will remain the foundation of his leadership, assuring the public that the EFCC under his watch will continue to promote transparency and accountability in both public and private institutions.
In his farewell remarks, Mr. Daniel Isei expressed gratitude to God and to the EFCC Executive Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, for the opportunity to serve in Ilorin, describing his tenure as “both fulfilling and enriching.”
