Nigeria Stands in Solidarity with Russia After Moscow Concert Hall Attack

Nigeria expressed solidarity with Russia following a terrorist attack at a concert in Moscow's Crocus City Hall. Gunmen in camouflage opened fire during the event, resulting in a tragic loss of lives, including children. The death toll from the attack has reached 115, according to Al Jazeera, with reports indicating the use of automatic weapons in what has been described as one of Russia's worst attacks in years.

In a statement, Nigerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, extended Nigeria's sympathy and condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin. "We convey our deepest condolences to the people and Government of the Russian Federation on the tragic attack carried out at the Crocus Concert Hall in Moscow that resulted in the death of innocent people and injuries to more than a hundred others," he said. 

Tuggar added, "The Government and people of Nigeria commiserate with the victims of this tragic attack and pray for the repose of their souls. We also pray for the quick recovery of those injured. At this challenging time, we stand in brotherhood with the government and Russian Federation and send our deepest sympathy and condolences to the Russian president, His Excellency Vladimir Putin."

The attack in Moscow has shocked and saddened many, with the Nigerian government joining others in offering support and solidarity to Russia during this difficult time. The Nigerian statement highlights the need for global unity in the face of such senseless acts of violence.
