Nigerian Air Force Special Forces Eliminate Terrorist Kingpin in Kaduna State Operation

In a decisive operation following an intelligence report, the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Special Forces successfully neutralized a notorious terrorist kingpin, Mustapha Abdullahi, along with five of his group members in Kaduna State. The operation took place near Sabon Gida Forest along Sabon Birni Road in Igabi Local Government Area (LGA) on August 31, 2024.

The Special Forces from NAF's 413 Force Protection Group were dispatched to the location after receiving information about the presence of Abdullahi and his group, who were suspected of planning to kidnap, harm, or kill innocent civilians. Upon making contact, the terrorists, who were traveling on motorcycles, opened fire on the troops but were quickly overpowered by superior firepower, resulting in the elimination of all six terrorists.

The operation led to the recovery of several weapons and items from the terrorists, including five den guns, a locally fabricated sub-machine gun, live ammunition, assorted charms, lighters, SIM cards, and phone cases.

This successful mission is part of ongoing efforts by NAF troops to rid Igabi, Birnin Gwari, and surrounding areas of criminal activities. The troops have been commended for their bravery and urged to continue their efforts to safeguard lives and properties in the region.
