Nigerian Army Neutralizes Five Terrorists in Borno, Arrests Notorious Criminals Across States

In a recent counter-terrorism operation in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State, Nigerian Army troops successfully neutralized five terrorists on August 12, 2024. The operation led to the recovery of significant weapons, including two Rocket Propelled Gun Bombs, six motorcycles, and assorted ammunition.

Additionally, the military reported the surrender of 44 Boko Haram terrorists, along with their families, in the Bama, Dikwa, and Gwoza Local Government Areas, indicating continued success in the region's anti-terrorism efforts.

In Plateau State, a notorious cattle rustler, Maawuya Shuaibu, was apprehended in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area, with 32 rustled cows recovered. Shuaibu had been on the watchlist for criminal activities across several local government areas.

In Bayelsa State, a raid in Korokorosie Community, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area, led to the arrest of Donald Emason, who was found in possession of a revolver pistol and two locally fabricated guns. Meanwhile, in Oyo State, troops arrested a suspected gun runner, Mohammed Bello, linked to a kidnap syndicate, further showcasing the military's extensive reach in combating criminal activities across Nigeria.
