Auwal Musa, National Youth Leader of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP), has denounced the EFCC's investigation into former Kano State Governor Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso as a targeted political attack. Speaking in Kaduna, Musa criticized the timing and motives behind the investigation, alleging it was orchestrated by political rivals to tarnish Kwankwaso's reputation without substantiated claims.
Musa challenged the EFCC to present concrete evidence supporting the allegations against Kwankwaso, questioning why the investigation surfaced nine years after his tenure as governor. He defended Kwankwaso's record of service as a governor, Defence Minister, and Senator, asserting that probing such a figure would be futile and unjustified.
