The Labour members criticized what they perceived as segregation in the electricity sector, citing class differentiation in supply. They also called on the Federal Government to revert the privatisation of the distribution sub-sector of the electricity industry. According to the Labour leaders, the privatised distribution sub-sector has been exploiting Nigerians and prioritizing profit over serving underserved citizens.
