Former Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has extended his best wishes to Nigerian Chess Master, Tunde Onakoya, as he endeavors to break the 58-hour chess marathon record. The event is set to occur from 10 am on April 17 to 8 pm on April 19 in Times Square, New York City.

Osinbajo conveyed his message of support on his official X page, encouraging Onakoya with words of inspiration. He stated, “Dear Tunde, Best of luck in Times Square as you attempt to set the Guinness World Record for the Longest Chess Marathon! Your resilience and spirit inspire us all. Remember your own powerful words: 'It is possible to do great things from a small place.'”

Onakoya's decision to challenge the record was announced on his social media handle on Friday, April 12. His determination and skill have garnered attention, with Osinbajo highlighting the significance of Onakoya's achievement as a proud Nigerian representing his country on the global stage.
