The Oyo State Police Command has arrested seven suspects linked to murder, cult-related violence and other criminal activities across different parts of the state.
The arrests were confirmed in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Police Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, in Ibadan.
According to the statement, police operatives arrested one suspect, Yaru Saka, in connection with the alleged murder of a man identified as Amodu Saliu in Tede town, Atisbo Local Government Area. A locally made single-barrel gun was reportedly recovered at the scene.
The police also said they responded to a cult-related disturbance in Jobele town, Afijio Local Government Area, where a man, Abraham Atunde (35), was rescued after sustaining stab injuries. Officers recovered a blood-stained knife believed to have been used in the attack.
Further investigations led to the arrest of two suspects, Sammod Bologun (29) and Katie Suleiman (24), who allegedly confessed to taking part in the cult violence. Police said they are currently providing information that could help in tracking down other fleeing members of the group.

In another incident, police operatives arrested Isiaka Muhammed (23) at Elekara area in Ilora after a night guard, Adeniran Ramon (50), reported that he was attacked with a cutlass, leading to the severing of his left hand. The suspect was found with a blood-stained cutlass and reportedly admitted to the crime.
The command also intercepted a Toyota Liteace bus with Oyo commercial registration number MNY 759 YN, loaded with suspected stolen household and electronic items. Three suspects were arrested in the vehicle: Rukayat Favour Umar (17), Mubarak Umar (26), and Jimoh Ibrahim (49).
Police said investigations into all the cases are ongoing, while efforts are being intensified to arrest other suspects still on the run.
