The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a suspect linked to the killing of a 25-year-old man in Owo Local Government Area of the state.
According to the police, the incident happened on December 14 at Shine Villa, Opomulero Street, Owo. The victim, identified as Ayodele Peter, was reportedly attacked after suspected cult members forced their way into the premises.
Police operatives were immediately deployed to the scene following a distress report. Ayodele was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre in Owo for treatment, but he was later confirmed dead by medical personnel.

After the attack, the police launched a manhunt which led to the arrest of one suspect. The suspect is currently in custody and has provided useful information, while efforts are ongoing to track down other suspects who are still at large.
The Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, Adebowale Lawal, praised officers for their quick response, describing it as a sign of improved readiness and effectiveness. He also assured residents that security has been strengthened across the state, especially during the festive period, and urged officers to remain vigilant to ensure the safety of lives and property.
