President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reassured Nigerians yesterday that the economic situation would improve, leading to prosperity. Despite ongoing worker protests over the high cost of living, he urged citizens not to lose hope, emphasizing that better days are ahead.

In a similar vein, House of Representatives Speaker Tajudeen Abbas called for patience and cooperation with the government's economic reforms. He highlighted the need to implement these reforms effectively to alleviate the current challenges.

President Tinubu expressed optimism during the unveiling of the Expatriate Employment Levy (EEL) handbook, citing collaborative efforts across government agencies. He praised the initiative's potential to boost employment and bridge wage gaps between Nigerians and expatriates in foreign companies.

Additionally, Minister of Interior Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo highlighted the EEL scheme's role in creating job opportunities for Nigerians and reducing reliance on foreign personnel. The initiative aligns with the government's agenda on security and economic growth, aiming to empower Nigerians in competitive employment.
