President Tinubu Reveals New Minimum Wage Deal, Urges Nigerians to Stay Hopeful

President Bola Tinubu has announced that a consensus has been reached on the new national minimum wage between the Federal Government and organized Labour. In his national broadcast on Democracy Day, Tinubu revealed that an executive bill will soon be sent to the National Assembly to formalize the agreement, which will be enshrined in law for the next five years or less.

Tinubu emphasized that his administration chose a democratic approach over dictatorship in addressing the demands of Labour unions. He highlighted that the government did not seek to oppress or crack down on workers, instead opting for cooperation and negotiation. The President vowed to ensure that no Nigerian is oppressed and urged the nation to stay hopeful for a better future.
