President Bola Tinubu has reiterated his administration's unwavering commitment to eradicating corruption in Nigeria. Speaking at the inauguration of the Red Rail Line on Thursday, February 29, Tinubu declared, "The fight against corruption is on, we will not look back, we will fight it to ruins."
Tinubu expressed pride in the progress made, stating, "Today is to be remembered for good, an evidence that it is good to dream, a serious validation of democracy." He assured Nigerians of better economic prospects, emphasizing the need for hard work and perseverance to overcome current challenges.
Reflecting on the progress made, Tinubu highlighted the importance of keeping people at the forefront of development plans. He expressed optimism about future projects, stating, "I look forward to the completion of other phases."
Addressing the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Tinubu criticized the union's frequent strikes, calling them unacceptable. He stated, "Calling for a strike in just nine months of an administration is unacceptable. NLC is not the voice of Nigeria. It should wait until 2027 if it is interested in joining the electoral process.".
