Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is reportedly seeking a significant discount from the €130 million release clause set by Napoli for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen. The French giants are willing to include one or two players in exchange to facilitate the transfer.
Sources indicate that Osimhen’s agent has been in Paris recently, negotiating the deal. Napoli is keen to resolve the transfer issue promptly, especially as new coach Antonio Conte has expressed a desire to reunite with Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Napoli's sporting director, Manna, has resumed talks with PSG, with club owner Aurelio De Laurentiis eager for a deal.

With no English Premier League clubs stepping forward, PSG appears to be the most viable option for Osimhen. PSG coach Luis Enrique has identified Osimhen as the best replacement for Kylian Mbappe, who has moved to Real Madrid. Italian reports suggest that PSG is now Osimhen's only possible destination if he wishes to compete in the Champions League.
In a related development, Osimhen was not listed in Napoli’s squad for a friendly match against Anaune Val di Non. Although originally named on the bench, it was later revealed that he was in the stands, having been working separately from the squad due to fitness issues. This absence is also linked to ongoing negotiations with PSG.
Napoli hopes to finalize the transfer within the next 10 days and might consider lowering the asking price to just over €100 million.
