Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has unveiled a 25 percent fare discount for government-owned transportation services.
Additionally, civil servants from levels 1 to 14 will now work three days a week, a move aimed at alleviating economic pressures on residents. These announcements were made during a live media chat, 'Sanwo Speaks', where the governor discussed measures to ease the economic burden on Lagosians.
While employees in the teaching sector will maintain a five-day work schedule, the government plans to provide them with additional transport support. These initiatives are part of a broader strategy to mitigate economic challenges faced by the people of Lagos.
