Senate Reallocates New Office to Senator Ndume, Following Protest

Senate

The Senate has reassigned an office to former Senate Chief Whip Mohammed Ali Ndume on the fourth floor of the Senate New Wing. Ndume, who was recently removed from his position, had rejected an office on the third floor, citing the rule that senior senators should be allocated offices on the fourth floor.

In response, the Chairman of the Senate Services Committee, Sunday Karimi, confirmed that a new office on the fourth floor has been allocated to Ndume. The notification was communicated through a letter signed by Siyaka Abdulwahab Sadiq, Director/Clerk to the Committee, on behalf of Karimi.

The letter, titled "Re: Office Allocation," informed Ndume of the new office number 4.31 in the Senate Building. It also clarified that this new allocation supersedes the previous one issued on July 29, 2024.

Ndume was advised to liaise with the Secretary of the Estate and Works Directorate at office number 0.28 to complete the necessary documentation and collect the keys to his new office.
