Governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, is approaching the upcoming primary with confidence. He is actively spreading his message of hope across the Sunshine State, engaging with stakeholders, and mobilizing potential delegates. While the primary is expected to be competitive, Ibrahim believes that only those with strength and determination will succeed.
Alongside Ibrahim, other contenders for the APC governorship ticket include Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, former Finance Commissioner Wale Akinterinwa, eminent doctor Paul Akintelure, Chief Olusola Oke (SAN), Dr. Soji Ehinlanwo, and Major General Ohunyeye, all from the South District. Ibrahim, who described himself as the most educated among the aspirants, plans to utilize his knowledge, skills, experience, and networks to drive development in Ondo State.
Regarding security, Ibrahim emphasized the need to bolster security networks along the state's borders and enhance the capabilities of the Amotekun security outfit through technology. He aims to create a secure environment where every resident can sleep peacefully. Ibrahim also pledged to focus on employment generation through effective governance and innovative policies, such as the Bitumen Act and swap contracts for road construction in the North.
Unlike engaging in acrimonious politics, Ibrahim prefers to focus on his manifestos and engage with the people directly. He believes that his approach to politics will set Ondo State on a path to becoming a reference point in governance. Ibrahim remains unfazed by the primary process, stating that he is prepared for either direct or indirect primary and is confident in his strategy and support base.
