Former Zamfara State governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, commended the Bola Tinubu-led APC government for its performance in the first year. Speaking in Sokoto on Saturday, June 1, during the distribution of 56 buses to local government councils and religious groups, Yari highlighted the administration's strong start despite challenges. The buses, purchased by the Sokoto state government, aim to improve local public transportation.

Yari noted that while it's early to fully evaluate the administration's performance, the government has shown resilience and promise. He expressed optimism that President Tinubu would consolidate results in the coming year for national stability and prosperity. Yari emphasized the need for governments to address high expectations and seemingly insurmountable challenges to achieve positive outcomes.

Acknowledging Governor Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto's contributions, Yari praised the governor's efforts in building hope and implementing beneficial policies. He highlighted the importance of replicating such initiatives to ensure excellent governance. Reflecting on his tenure as Zamfara governor, Yari recalled initial difficulties but credited his vision and mission for eventual success.

Governor Aliyu Sokoto reiterated his commitment to a 9-point smart agenda for the state, focusing on infrastructural development and support for religious programs. He announced the release of N284 million for 10 scholars from each of the 244 wards to perform the Eid-el-Kabir ritual sacrifice. Additionally, 10 units of 18-seater buses were allocated to various religious groups for transportation during activities. The event was attended by prominent state officials, including Deputy Governor Muhammad Idris Gobir and Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko.
