Security agencies in Rivers State on Friday staged a massive show of force across Port Harcourt and its environs, reassuring residents of their safety as the state gears up for elections.
The exercise, which commenced from the Rivers State Police Command Headquarters on Moscow Road, featured a long convoy of patrol vehicles manned by operatives of the Nigerian Police Force, Nigerian Army, Nigerian Navy, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and other allied agencies.

The joint security team drove through major streets in Port Harcourt and Obio/Akpor local government areas, demonstrating their operational readiness to keep the peace before, during, and after the polls.
Earlier in the week, Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Olugbenga Adepoju, assured residents that adequate personnel and logistics had been deployed to ensure a secure environment.
He emphasized that the coordinated efforts of the security agencies are aimed at guaranteeing free, fair, and credible elections across the state.
