Six governors from the South-West geopolitical zone are gathering at the Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja, for a crucial meeting with Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. As of 11:30 am on Monday, three of the six governors had arrived, including Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun.
The other expected attendees are Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and Ekiti State Governor Abiodun Oyebanji.
While the specific agenda of the meeting remains undisclosed, it is believed to involve discussions on the ongoing minimum wage negotiations between organized labor unions and the Federal Government, regional security issues, and other pressing state matters.
Following the closed-door session, members of the state house correspondents are expected to be briefed on the outcomes of the meeting.
