Ten individuals were injured following an attack by suspected herdsmen in the Antsa community on Monday morning. Antsa is located on the busy North Bank – J.S Tarka University of Agriculture road in Makurdi, Benue State. This road also serves as a crucial access route for travelers heading to Gbajimba in Guma Local Government Area.
By 7 am on Monday, outraged youths had mounted roadblocks on the University Community road, preventing vehicles and motorcycles from passing through. As of press time, the youths have vowed to remain on the road until authorities address their concerns regarding the escalating security challenges in the area.
The blockade has caused significant disruptions, with the youths demanding immediate attention and action from the relevant authorities to ensure the safety and security of their community.
