The Defence Headquarters has declared Haliru Buzu, a terror arms supplier, wanted in Zamfara State. Buzu, whose associates were reportedly responsible for the recent killing of 19 villagers in Farar Kasa, is known to operate from his camp in Subbubu forest and resides in Shinkafi Local Government Area of the state.
During a briefing in Abuja, the Director of Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Edward Buba, announced the declaration of Buzu as a wanted individual. Apart from his involvement in supplying arms to terrorists, Buzu is also accused of operating an illegal mining site in Zamfara and engaging in cattle rustling.
The Defence Headquarters has urged the public to provide any relevant information that could lead to the arrest of Haliru Buzu. This declaration is part of ongoing efforts to address security challenges in Zamfara State and apprehend individuals involved in criminal activities in the region.
