Terrorist Attack Claims 21 Lives in Niger State, Leaves Village in Ruins

The village head of Madaka community and twenty others in Rafi local government area of Niger state have been killed in an attack by terrorists. The incident occurred around 3 pm on Thursday afternoon, resulting in the destruction of over 50 houses, several cars, and motorcycles. The terrorists invaded the community through the market, setting it ablaze before proceeding further.

According to reports, the terrorists shot sporadically, leading to the abduction of some individuals who were in the market at the time. Alhaji Isah Bawale, the district head, confirmed the incident during a telephone interview with our correspondent in Minna, the Niger state capital. 

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Niger State, SP Wasiu Abiodun, stated that he would verify the information and provide further details, which he was unable to do at the time of this report.
