Tinubu Congratulates FAAN Boss Olubunmi Kuku on Election as ACI Africa Vice-President

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Olubunmi Kuku, on her election as Vice-President of Airports Council International (ACI) Africa.

The President’s message was conveyed in a statement on Friday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, titled “President Tinubu Congratulates FAAN Managing Director Olubunmi Kuku On Her Election As Vice-president Of ACI Africa.”

Kuku’s election was ratified during the 34th ACI Africa General Assembly, which held in Lusaka, Zambia, from September 13, 2025. The sessions closed on Friday.

Tinubu hailed FAAN’s management for sustaining global standards in Nigeria’s aviation industry, noting that its efforts had attracted international recognition.

“The President notes the sustained efforts and commitment of the FAAN management to making air transport in Nigeria safe, efficient, and reflective of the highest standards, which has attracted global recognition and commendations,” the statement read.

The President also praised Kuku’s leadership and foresight, which previously earned her a role as Regional Advisor for Africa at ACI, before she became a permanent member of the ACI World Governing Board.
