President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after a two-week trip abroad, where he undertook official and private visits. His journey began with a visit to the Netherlands, where he met with Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte for economic and diplomatic discussions. Tinubu arrived back in Abuja at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around 1:45 am on Wednesday.
During his time in the Netherlands, Tinubu engaged in high-level talks with Prime Minister Rutte and also met with His Royal Majesty, King Willem-Alexander, and Queen Maxima of the Kingdom. He participated in the Nigerian-Dutch Business and Investment Forum, focusing on enhancing cooperation between the two nations.
Following his engagements in the Netherlands, Tinubu traveled to Saudi Arabia to attend a Special World Economic Forum meeting in Riyadh from April 28 to 29. The summit, themed "Global collaboration, growth and energy for development," brought together leaders from various sectors to discuss global development strategies.
After the summit, Tinubu did not immediately return to Nigeria, instead embarking on a private visit. Although no official statement was released regarding his further engagements, sources within the Presidency confirmed that he proceeded to London for the private visit.
