Tinubu Vows Unyielding Resolve Against Smugglers and Subsidy Abusers

President Bola Tinubu has pledged to uphold Nigerians' trust in his administration despite facing opposition from smugglers and former petrol subsidy beneficiaries.

Speaking at a meeting with the Forum of State Chairmen of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC) in Abuja, President Tinubu acknowledged efforts by destabilizing forces to hinder economic progress but expressed confidence in Nigerians' resilience.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu emphasized his government's commitment to allocating resources to critical sectors that significantly impact citizens' welfare, stressing the importance of safeguarding the nation’s treasury against abuse.

President Tinubu assured the nation that his administration is tirelessly working to enhance living standards and urged grassroots leaders to promote the registration of National Identification Numbers (NIN) among citizens. He highlighted the necessity of NINs for planning, structuring interventions, and integrating individuals into relief programs.

Acknowledging challenges from corrupt entities resisting change, President Tinubu affirmed his administration's resolve to defend the people's interests, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability in governance. He also outlined key initiatives, including student loans, a national consumer credit system, and social welfare for unemployed and graduate citizens, aimed at inclusivity and prosperity for all Nigerians.

President Tinubu underscored agriculture's pivotal role in driving economic growth and outlined plans for large-scale livestock farming, emphasizing the government's commitment to mechanized agriculture and food self-sufficiency.
