Undercover Agents Deployed to Federal Polytechnic Nekede to Curb Vice Activities

A team of undercover agents has been deployed to Federal Polytechnic Nekede in a covert operation aimed at cleansing the academic environment of cultism, examination malpractices, and other vices. Posing as students, these secret police will gather intelligence and collaborate with school authorities to identify and punish those involved in indecent behaviors, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment for all.

Dr. Ibeaja Uzoma, the Acting Rector of Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, Imo State, revealed this during the institution's 46th Matriculation ceremony for the 2023/2024 academic session, which took place yesterday. The ceremony marked the official welcome of new students to the institution.

Dr. Ibeaja emphasized the institution's zero tolerance for indecent behavior, urging the matriculants to uphold values of excellence, decency, and academic rigor. He stressed the importance of hard work, discipline, and character, cautioning against indecent dressing, cultism, examination malpractice, and other vices.

"We have zero tolerance for cultism, examination malpractice, and other vices. Any student found guilty of these offenses will be expelled and handed over to the police for prosecution. We will not hesitate to take drastic measures to ensure our institution remains a sanctuary for learning and character development," Dr. Ibeaja stated.

He also warned against cohabitation with members of the opposite gender and late-night activities, which could lead to unwanted pregnancies, diseases, and other deviant behaviors. Dr. Ibeaja urged students to avoid littering the environment and to report anyone who does so. He mentioned the institution's deployment of undercover agents to gather intelligence and assist school authorities in taking swift action against offenders. Dr. Ibeaja urged students to shape up and avoid any behavior that could jeopardize their academic pursuits and future.
