Vice President Kashim Shettima is mourning the loss of his mother-in-law, Maryam Albishir, who passed away at 69 on Sunday evening in Kano after a prolonged illness. This was announced in a statement by the VP’s spokesperson, Mr. Stanley Nkwocha, on Monday morning.
According to the statement titled "VP Shettima’s Mother-In-Law Passes Away," Hajiya Maryam, the mother of Vice President Shettima’s wife, Hajiya Nana Shettima, will be laid to rest on Monday afternoon in Kano, in accordance with Islamic traditions.
