A woman identified as Ifeoma, 55, tragically died shortly after sharing her testimony at the Ministry Church in Ejigbo, Lagos State. The incident occurred on Sunday, September 8, 2024.
Ifeoma was reportedly singing songs of gratitude on the church altar around 8:48 am when she suddenly collapsed. The Lagos Police Command spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed that she was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. However, she was later referred to the General Hospital in Isolo, where she was pronounced dead.

Hundeyin explained, “The Zonal Accountant of the church reported that during testimony hour, Ifeoma, who was giving her testimony while singing, suddenly slumped. She was quickly transported to a nearby hospital but was later confirmed dead at the General Hospital in Isolo.”
Upon investigation, detectives found that the deceased’s family had already taken her body to Anambra State, her home state, for burial.
The cause of Ifeoma’s sudden collapse and death has not yet been disclosed.
