114 #EndBadGovernance Protesters Acquitted, Welcomed at Presidential Villa

In a significant development, 114 #EndBadGovernance protesters, including both adults and minors recently acquitted by the Federal High Court in Abuja, arrived at the Presidential Villa today. The group, initially detained and arraigned by the Police Force, was released following a ruling by Justice Obiora Egwatu, who dismissed the charges at the request of Attorney General of the Federation, Lateef Fagbemi.

Vice President Kashim Shettima, representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is scheduled to officially receive the released protesters. The individuals will then be handed over to their respective state governors, including Uba Sani of Kaduna and Abba Yusuf of Kano.

Several prominent officials are in attendance at the State House Auditorium for the event, including Ministers Tunji Alausa (Education), Nentawe Yilwatda (Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction), Balarabe Lawal (Environment), and Tanko Sununu (Minister of State for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction). Also present are Abdullahi Yakasai, Senior Special Assistant on Community Engagement for the Northwest, Deputy Senate President Jubrin Barau, and Abubakar Bichi, Chairman of the House Committee on Appropriation.
