17-Year-Old Kabirat Ayoola Wins Gold at ITTF Western Africa Regional Championship

Kabirat Ayoola, a 17-year-old table tennis player from Oyo State, has made her mark by clinching the gold medal at the ITTF Western Africa Regional Championship held in Lome, Togo. The Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Oyo State, Wasilat Adegoke, proudly announced this achievement at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex in Ibadan.

Kabirat Ayoola, hailing from Oyo town, was a valuable member of the Nigerian Team that secured the gold medal at the tournament. This victory adds to her impressive collection of medals, having previously excelled in both junior cadet and senior categories, bringing glory to Oyo State.

The Commissioner commended Kabirat for her outstanding performance, highlighting that Oyo State is immensely proud of her and the entire male and female table tennis teams that represented Nigeria at the ITTF Championship. Nigeria, as a team, clinched five medals at the event, including three gold and two silver medals, showcasing the country's prowess in table tennis at the regional level.
