APC: Tinubu’s 2027 Reelection Already Settled

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has said the wave of endorsements for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections is proof that his reelection is “settled.”

APC spokesperson Seye Oladejo stated this in Lagos on Tuesday while reacting to comments by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which had described the endorsements as signs of panic.

PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, on Monday alleged that the APC was “shopping for endorsements” to shore up support for Tinubu.

Oladejo countered that the broad support reflected acceptance of the president’s reforms, insisting that the PDP, not the APC, was in panic mode.

> “Panic is when a party that once boasted of being Africa’s largest is now reduced to an empty kiosk, struggling to hold a convention without imploding,” he said.

“If there’s any party on a shopping spree, it is the PDP – desperately hunting for presidential candidates because of its lack of depth.”

He added that Tinubu’s endorsements were “proof of reforms taking root, proof of courage Nigerians admire, and proof of leadership even the PDP quietly acknowledges.”

Oladejo accused the opposition party of wasting Nigeria’s opportunities during its 16 years in power and said its relevance continued to diminish.

> “Every endorsement of President Tinubu is another confirmation that 2027 is a settled matter. PDP can only look forward to yet another humiliating defeat,” he declared.

The APC chieftain concluded that while Tinubu continues with reforms, the PDP remains “blinded by bitterness,” warning that unless the party retraces its steps, it risks losing what little relevance it still has.
